Dermal fillers are injectable treatments that add volume beneath the skin’s surface to restore contours, smooth static lines, and enhance facial features. Most modern fillers are made from hyaluronic acid (HA), a naturally occurring substance that attracts and retains moisture — providing instant volume and improved hydration.
At The York Dental Suite, we use premium, FDA-approved HA dermal fillers from leading manufacturers, as well as biostimulators including Sculptra®, Radiesse®, and Ellansé® for patients who prefer a more gradual, collagen-stimulating approach.

Rather than adding instant volume like HA fillers, biostimulators work beneath the skin to trigger the body’s own collagen and elastin production. This leads to a more gradual improvement in firmness, texture, and volume over several months — and results can last 2+ years. Ideal for:
Every treatment begins with a detailed consultation. Dr Valencia will assess your facial anatomy, discuss your concerns and goals, review your medical history, and build a personalised plan.
After thorough cleansing and preparation, injection points are marked to ensure precision. The product is carefully injected into the target areas using an ultra-fine needle or cannula. Dr Valencia will gently massage and mould the filler to achieve smooth, even distribution and optimal contour.
You’ll leave with detailed aftercare guidance. Your first appointment typically takes 45 minutes, with follow-up sessions shorter as your treatment plan is established.
With HA fillers, results are visible immediately — though initial swelling may appear fuller than your settled result. Full results are seen at 2–4 weeks and typically last 6–18 months. Biostimulators work more gradually, with results building over 2–6 months as new collagen develops.

Dr Camila Valencia comes from a family of surgeons and completed medical school at the School of Medicine in Guayaquil, in her home country of Ecuador.
After finishing medical school, she pursued further studies in Spain where she obtained her Masters degree in Aesthetic Medicine from the School of Medicine in Cordoba. As an entrepreneur, she founded her own Laser Hair Removal company and worked in various specialist Aesthetic Medicine clinics in Madrid for the next 11 years.
In 2014 she moved to the UK with her family and settled in Knaresborough, the place they now consider home.
